Hug-a-Bug at Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

Have fun at hug-a-bug, the insect petting zoo! You’ll get to meet cool critters like Malaysian Jungle Nymphs, Thorny Devil stick bugs, Hornworm caterpillars, and many more!

Family Fundays at the ROM

Family Sundays at the ROM are extended for all of Family Day weekend. Fill your day with discovery as you explore the exhibitions and collections at the ROM and take part in cultural experiences, including Lunar New Year activities on Saturday and family-friendly Opera Atelier performances on Monday, plus hands-on activities celebrating our rich multicultural landscape.

Family Day Fun at Kortright

Take the Family Day adventure outdoors at Kortright, where there will be tons of fun activities like nature hikes, kick-sledding, and snowshoeing. You can also participate in creating nature art, sitting by the campfire drinking hot chocolate, or playing games with the fam.

Family Day Weekend at the Toronto Zoo

Head to the zoo to meet Canada’s only giant panda cubs, Jia Yueyue and Jia Panapan. There are also over 10 km of walking trails to explore and five indoor tropical pavilions. You can even listen to one of the daily animal keeper’s talks.

James and the Giant Peach

This beloved children’s classic has returned to Toronto and is fun for the whole family. Enjoy a whimsical journey that’ll be sure to bring brightness to you during these winter months. There will be free craft activities on February 20!

Big Bad Wolf vs. Lord Underwearface

This hilarious musical romp is a new look on a children’s classic. Lord Underwearface von Schtinker has framed the Big Bad Wolf for heinous crimes. Big Bad Wolf will have to enlist the help of his fairy tale friends to prove that things aren’t always what they seem.

AGO Family Fun Day

The AGO transforms once again into the Kids’ Gallery of Ontario (KGO) and it’s bursting with artful activities. There will be kite-making, bubble wrap bursting, gallery tours, family yoga, interactive performances by the SOAR children’s skipping team and a screening of Small Cave, Big Cave.

Family Fun Fest

Have a blast at Toronto’s largest indoor inflatable display! Kids will be able to bounce, play, and be entertained all day. FUN FEST has been voted one of the best family day weekend activities in Toronto for three years in a row now! Date: February 18 to February 20

Kids Fest Toronto

Bounce the day away at this indoor festival with more than 30 themed inflatables for all age groups—toddler to tween—ready for action. This fun-filled festival also includes shows, interactive activities, carnival games, mini golf, exotic animals from Hands on Exotics, and science experiments from Mad Science.

Fort York Family Day

Visit Fort York’s historic kitchen and taste some baking from the hearth. You’ll be sure to have a memorable visit as you sip delicious hot chocolate and sit by the roaring fire. Kids can try an 1812 drill class, Sword Drill, and old fashioned games.
