10 Movies To See With Your Kids This Fall

With class back in session, your kiddies will want to know what will be playing in theatres as a distraction from the grind of school and homework. In the 2015 fall family movie lineup we have not-so-spooky vampires, the Peanuts gang, a cute dinosaur and human boy friendship, and of course the long-anticipated new Star Wars movie.

All the movies are listed by theatre release date. Take note that not all movies have been rated yet, and may not be appropriate for younger children.

Hotel Transylvania 2

Release: September 25

Mavis and Johnny have a baby boy named Dennis, whose lack of vampire abilities worries his grandfather Count Dracula. Dracula calls his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne, Griffin and Blobbie to help him put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp.

The Martian

A manned mission to Mars goes wrong, and astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead and left behind on the planet by his crew. Watney fights to survive in the harsh environment while NASA, scientists all around Earth, and his crew members work together to find a way to rescue Watney.

Goosebumps

After moving into a small town, a teenage boy named Zach Cooper meets Hannah, his new neighbor. Hannah’s father, R.L. Stine (Jack Black) himself, writes the Goosebumps stories and keeps all the ghosts and monsters in the series locked up in his manuscripts.

Zach and his friend unintentionally release the ghosts and monsters from the manuscripts. Now Zach, Hannah, and Stine team up in order to put the monsters back where they came from before they overrun the town and harm people.

Jem and the Holograms

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

With the nation of Panem in a revolutionary war, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Katniss goes off on a mission with the District 13 unit as they risk their lives to free the citizens of Panem, and try to stop President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.

The Good Dinosaur

In an alternate timeline where Earth was never hit by an asteroid and dinosaurs never became extinct, a young Apatosaurus name Arlo falls into a river and gets knocked out by a rock, finding himself far away from his home. While trying to find a way back to the Clawed-Tooth Mountains, he befriends a human caveboy that he names Spot.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
