It’s official: elementary teachers will strike in Toronto and York Region on January 20, 2020 and January 21, 2020 for the TCDSB, barring any 11th-hour negotiations. For parents who work during school hours, this requires some last-minute planning.
If you are looking for a camp during the ETFO and OECTA strikes on Monday, January 20, 2020 or Tuesday, January 21, 2020 , we’ve rounded up all the full-day and half-day camps we’ve found thus far. Note that the City of Toronto will not have any camps to cover the strike.
In all cases, refunds will be given if the strike is averted.

Electric Moon Theatre Company

Adventure Valley Day Camp is offering a full-day Strike Camp for kids in JK–Grade 6 at its Thornhill location. The day will include fun, educational activities including art, cooking, music, dance, and outdoor play. Extended hours available. Cost: $75/ per day. Learn more/sign up.

Just For Fun

Toronto Athletic Camps (TAC Sports)

Kids ages 5–12 can take part in a fun day of hands-on science activities at the Ontario Scienc Centre on January 21 and January 22. There is no extra cost for extended care. Cost: $70 members, $75 non-members. Learn more/sign up.

After-school care
If you already have your child in after-school care, check with them. Many before- and after-school care programs are opening up to take kids for the full day to try to alleviate the pressure put on parents due to the strike.
