If you’ve got one of those kids who is rarely seen without a basketball or baseball in their hands, or one who would rather cartwheel through life instead of walking, you may just have a sports-themed birthday party to plan in your future.
Luckily, there are countless sports venues in the Toronto area offering a wide variety of birthday party options to please the active young athlete in the family. Here are just a handful.
Sportball
Available for ages 2 to 12—but an especially ideal option for the younger crowd—Sportball doesn’t focus on one sport in particular, but instead offers a variety of fun multi-sport-related games. The first hour of the birthday party is all about the coach-led activities, followed by traditional party time with food and cake.
Parties can be held at any official Sportball location, or can be arranged at a suitable venue of your choice. (Pricing varies depending on venue, but starts at $215.)

North Beach Volleyball
Does your child absolutely love beach volleyball, but you don’t want to take a chance with the weather—or their birthday is in December? Not to worry, North Beach Volleyball has spectacular indoor beach volleyball courts. Parties include an hour of sand time and an hour in the party room to eat and celebrate. And for an extra charge you can hire one of the activities directors to lead the kids through a few non-volleyball games as well, including tug-of-war, water balloon tosses and treasure hunts.
