About Bear Creek Wildlife Sanctuary

A volunteer-driven charity that provides a safe haven for unwanted, abused and injured exotic and zoo surplus animals. They are authorized wildlife custodians through the Ministry of Natural Rescouces and Forestry and rehabilitate injured, orphaned and indigenous wildlife. For many of the animals here, Bear Creek was the last resort prior to euthanasia.

They offer tours of our facility from June through August every summer.
Animals include lions, tigers, wolves, ring-tailed lemurs, and bears. You’ll also find more unusual species, such as jaglions, which are hybrids of jaguars and lions, and a bat colony.

Older children (14 and up) can come spend the day as a caretaker or participate in their cooperative education program.
