Family Fitness

There are tons of great family activities around Toronto, but some families are looking for more of a rush than you typically get from a zoo, farm, or museum.

Is your family full of daring, risk-taking thrill-seekers? Here are our top picks for exciting activities near Toronto for adventurous families!

Treetop Trekking

Explore the outdoors from up above at one of Treetop Trekking’s zipline and aerial game parks. You’ll get to navigate the treetops, climbing from tree to tree on suspended bridges, Tarzan swings, swinging logs, cable traverses, and ziplines.

There are several locations in Ontario – including Brampton, Barrie, and Hunstville – with courses ranging from beginner to advanced for adults and kids over 9. For younger adventurers at any age, the Treewalk Village Adventure Park for Kids at the Stouffville location has a treewalk area, where little ones can climb through walkways and tunnels to get to tree houses, forest trails, an underground tunnel world, and a mini climbing wall.
