Kids in the York region have some awesome camp options this March break: painting and drawing camps, chemistry and engineering camp, Spanish-language camp, cooking camp, and more.
York Region March break camps include camps in Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, Thornhill, and Vaughan.
In addition to the camps here, each town and city’s recreation department holds school-break camps. Links are included below.
Vaughan

Adventure Valley hosts a number of activities for day campers that include art, cooking, music, dance, sports, outdoor fun, and special guests.

If your child loves to cook, check out this amazing camp for kids. They’ll learn cooking techniques while preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner from a different culture each day: beef bourguignon, fajitas, cannoli… A delicious way to spend a week! There’s also a March 9–13 camp.

Kids get one- to two hours of on-ice instruction at half-day and full-day ice skating camps during March break. Camps also include basketball, dodge ball, and other off-ice activities.

At week-long March break camps at the McMichael, kids visit current exhibitions, hike the grounds, and make paintings, drawings, prints and more in the gallery’s studio.

Varied theatre camp programs incorporate drama, improv, movement, singing, theatre games, work with sets and costumes, and an end-of-week public performance. Playtime with outdoor activities and sports are incorporated as well.

Kids get hands-on experience with coding and tackling “mini-missions” to solve real-world problems on a local or international level. Coding and Leadership Camp is a fun and challenging camp where kids acquire skills in technical programming, team-building, and public speaking. March 9–13 and 16–20.

The TRCA’s nature-themed March break camps take place at conservation areas throughout the GTA. At March Break Nature Camp in Richmond Hill, kids play games in the forest and learn to track animals, build a fire, make a shelter, and more.

Jump, jump, and jump some more during a week of trampoline sports at Air Riderz trampoline park. Play trampoline dodge ball, climbing, and free jump. There will also be indoor/outdoor games and arts and crafts. Friday pizza lunch.
