Didn’t we just get back into the swing of things? Didn’t March Break just end? Now we have a four-day (or longer) weekend to contend with our wee (loving and adorable) rascals? Fear not, we have plans. There are some great things to do in Ottawa (and Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, too!).
Easter On The Farm
Celebrate the arrival of spring with numerous activities including seeing the new baby animals, Easter agg hunt and more at the Canadian Agricultural Museum.
$2.50 Movie
Watch a family favourite film at Cineplex Theatres (Spy Kids) for only $2.50. A portion of proceeds go towards supporting Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Easter Eggstravaganza
Take the whole family to the Children’s Museum at the Canadian Museum of Civilization for an egg-citing Easter adventure! Egg decorating, giant eggs and an Easter egg hunt are just some of the fun activities we have in store for everyone from tiny tots to grandparents.
Be A Gymnast
Starr Gymnastics is offering an hour long drop-in playtime. The gym will be padded and set up with obstacles and challenges for children and their parents to explore and enjoy.
Sweet Weekend
Friday, March 29 through to Monday, April 1 there are special activities each day 10am – 2pm (horse drawn rides, face painting, snow taffy) at Fulton’s Sugar Bush and Pancake House. Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 2 pm.
Farmer’s Market
The Farmer’s Market Easter Show on Saturday March 30, from 9am – 2pm. On the Fairgrounds in the Lion’s Den. Taste and see a sampling of the food and crafts available.
Proulx Sugarbush & Berry Farm
The Proulx Sugarbush & Berry Farm will be in operation for the 4 days of Easter weekend but reservations are recommended. The traditional sugar bush buffet will be available including the real 100% pure taffy on snow and maple sugar pie. There will be special activities at the farm as well as the usual weekend activities.
Egg Hunts and Baby Animals
Hunt through the bush at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane in search of the Easter bunny’s lost eggs and then head back to visit the baby animals in the barn. Family fun for all – and each child leaves with something special!
Search for Eggs
The Valleyview Little Animal Farm’s Easter Bunny has lost 100’s of coloured eggs and he needs help to find them. The Egg Hunt runs daily throughout the Easter weekend.
