Lots To Do In Calgary On Easter Weekend

Didn’t we just get back into the swing of things? Didn’t March Break just end? Now we have a four-day (or longer) weekend to contend with our wee (loving and adorable) rascals? Fear not, we have plans. There are some great things to do in Calgary (and Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver, too!).

A Zoo-Tastic Weekend
Enjoy kid-friendly cooking demos with the Egg Farmers of Alberta, cookie decorating, handle-able animals, recycled arts and crafts, face painting, games and Nestle chocolate for children 12 years old and under at the Calgary Zoo.

Musical Number
Take the kids to see Billy Elliot, the boy who trades boxing gloves for ballet shoes. Show runs until Sunday, March 31.

Rally in the Alley
Enjoy a fabulous brunch on the mezzanine at Heritage Park overlooking Gasoline Alley Museum. Easter Activities include a Scavenger Hunt and egg decorating. After brunch head into the museum for hours of family fun and Spring Rally in the Alley activities.

Ballerinas, Quarterbacks & Zombies
A special weekend event at Telus Spark that is all about the way you move your body. Ballerinas, Quarterbacks, and Zombies all have their own special swagger — find out what makes them move.

Petting Zoo
The Marlborough Mall is hosting a petting zoo this weekend (and the mall is open for shopping on Friday!).

Legendary Easter Hunt
Kids can go on a hunt for items at Butterfield Acres that the Easter Bunny needs, and then send them down the tunnels to the Easter Bunny’s Secret Workshop where he’ll magically turn them into Easter Eggs.

Spend Easter With the Fishers
Take part in some free Easter fun at the Bass Pro Shop at CrossIron Mills! There will be special Easter crafts, egg hunts, and free photos with the Easter Bunny.

Spring Skate
Enjoy a free public skate on Easter Sunday. Bring the family out between 1pm and 2:30pm for some skating fun. Participating arenas include Murray Copot, Shouldice, Stew Hendry/Henry Viney, Optimist/George Blundun, Jimmie Condon/Rose Kohn, and Frank McCool.
