About Groove School of Dance

Groove School of Dance’s philosophy is to teach dance in a positive environment with an emphasis on the development of creativity, self-expression, self-achievement, self- confidence and FUN!

Since 1999, they have been offering dance classes for kids in a structured, professional atmosphere built around fun. Their focus is on self-esteem and creativity rather than competition.

Groove is one of the first dance studios to encourage children with special needs.

Angela Williams, artistic director of Groove School of Dance and co-owner of Zodiactors Musical Theatre Company, has over 15 years of experience in jazz, ballet, gymnastics, hip hop, musical theatre and acro.

Birthday Parties

Groove offers several themed birthday party packages. They run 1.5 hours in length, including 15 minutes of welcome activities, 45 minutes of party-theme activities, and 40 minutes of 30 minutes for food.

Themes include:

  • Dance or Glee party (any style—jazz, hip hop, breakdance, glee)
  • Pawsitively Pets
  • Princess Party
  • Mad Science
  • Lego Party
  • Magic or Puppet Show
  • Karate
  • Cupcake and cookie decorating party
  • Capoeira Party (a combination of dance, live music and combat moves)

Groove can also bring the party to your house or you can rent the studio for your own party.

Camps

Groove offers camps for children aged 3 to 12 on P.A. Days, Holiday/Winter Break, March Break, and Summer Camps.

Daily activites include dance classes, music and drama workshops, arts and crafts, karate and self-defense, animal ambassadors, mad science, magic shows, visits from princesses and superheroes, and much more!
