About Canadian Contemporary School of Art (CCSA)

An arts school for kids and teens, CCSA offers programs for ages 2 to 17, as well as adults. After-school programs, full-day summer camps, and half-day preschool programs in a warm and welcoming learning environment.

CCSA offers instruction in painting, sculpting, textile printing, fashion design, cartooning, animation, puppetry, and architecture.

Classes at the CCSA encourage students’ natural ability to be curious when engaging with the world. The school takes an organic approach to learning, teaching habits of open-minded inquiry that can help students be resourceful when faced with life’s challenges, big and small.

CCSA believes in creativity as an educational tool—one that builds a student’s confidence and helps to develop their problem-solving skills. This type of experiential learning creates opportunities for self-expression and calculated risk-taking, along with the enjoyment of seeing one’s creative efforts lead to tangible results. Art classes for kids nurture the whole child, creating the foundations for the well-rounded adults they will grow up to become. By nurturing the artist in every child, classes at CCSA help to plant the seeds of lifelong creativity.
