Centauri is offering virtual summer camps for kids in July 2020, in place of their usual overnight camps. The schedule includes dorm hours, evening programs, “pajamarama” events and more, all offered online via Zoom.
Centauri is an overnight camp for the arts for ages 9–18 that provides kids and teens with a solid training in the arts (visual art, performing arts, and writing) in a safe and supportive environment.
Specialist programs include acting, musical theatre, dance, writing, visual art, digital art, music, film, and stage combat, Campers spend at least four hours a day steeped in their chosen specialty and also choose from electives like hip-hop, improv, poetry, fashion design, guitar, yoga, and much more. They also take part in camp activities, like games, dance parties, swimming, talent shows, campfires, storytelling, and camp-wide festivals. Teens can sign up for international arts tours to the UK.
A nurturing community for all, Centauri has professional instructors and caring counsellors, all with teaching and/or child-care experience. The staff-to-camper ratio is 1:4.
Centauri Summer Arts Camp is located on 165 acres in the Niagara Region.
