What is more summer than drive-in movies? And this summer, in particular, drive-in movies are a great option for a safe, physically distanced activity.
Movie theatres are still closed for the foreseeable future, but on a warm summer night, right around sunset, you can still take in a movie with the family—and under the stars no less. If you’ve never taken your kids to the drive-in before, this summer is the perfect time to give them an experience they’ll never forget, all while tapping into your own nostalgia.
COVID-19 Precautions
Be sure to check online before you go—theatres have all put their own rules in place to deal with COVID-19 and it’s best to check ahead of time. Many theatres are requesting that you book tickets in advance to help with physical distancing. Some require you to bring your own snacks while others have opened their concession stands.
Remember to bring your hand sanitizer and masks with you—you’ll want to be sure to take every precaution when using bathrooms or visiting the indoor concession stand.
