After a hiatus of a few months, I am back with a vengeance.
There were many, many moments in the last few months where I thought: “Oh.. that would be a good blog topic.” But, then I didn’t have the time to sit down and write out something thoughtful and interesting.
I guess it just goes to show you what kids – combined with work – can do to your life. Sometimes, if work gets a little intense, then between that, managing the house, spending time with the kids, the husband, and the new cats (!), and organising all other aspects of our lives, from the day to day to the big picture, I find I fall into a black hole. And when you live on the other side of the world, falling into a black hole can really create a lot of distance with friends and family.
However, I am at the point in the year, where I begin planning my summer, and looking forward to reconnecting with friends and family when we come home. (Not to mention trying to decide which summer camps to go to!) When I look at the calendar, I see we have a month and a half left before we fly out. And it is amazing how time flies, so I know we will be on that plane before you know it.
I always worry when I come home, that I will be out of the loop. Or that people won’t want to see me. And it does happen. Just as I am sure people have stopped checking out my blog because I have not updated it.
But my Mid-Year Resolution (I was too busy in January to make resolutions) is to be more in touch and to stay on top of my blog.
So stay tuned.
And hope to see some of you in Toronto soon!
