About Brighton School

Brighton is a leading private school in Toronto intentionally designed for students with academic and/or social challenges. Brighton continues to set the standard for specialized education in Toronto by using best practices, evidence-based teaching methods and specialty programs in the areas of reading decoding, reading comprehension, math and writing remediation, social competency development and organizational skills.

The Elementary program provides both curriculum-based and remedial instruction in small learning groups. The flexible Secondary programs offer credit, pre-credit and non-credit streams that can be customized and combined to meet students’ unique learning needs. All students have access to Chromebooks and use G Suite for education programs and assistive technology to acquire digital literacy skills and organizational habits to use within and beyond the classroom. All this together in a warm, nurturing and friendly environment!

Summer Camp

Brighton’s “Friendship Factory” summer camp blends social competency development with sports, games, art, music—and fun! Designed for students in Grades 1–8, the camp program uses engaging, play-based opportunities to practice and build important friendship and social skills in a summer camp environment.

Interactive activities, role plays, social skills lessons, and real-time coaching focus on developing prosocial and friendship skills in five key areas: conversation, cooperative play, friendship management, self-regulation, and conflict management. Our summer program is designed so that skills build week to week, but is structured so that individual weeks can stand alone. Visit the website for more details and registration information.
