About Bishop Strachan School
Established in 1867, Bishop Strachan School is Canada’s oldest independent day and boarding school for girls. Their academic program for students in junior kindergarten to grade 12 focuses on how girls learn best. They also have a boarding option for girls in grades 8 to 12 and a co-ed Summer Academy.
Their mission is “to inspire girls to be fearless, educate girls to be leaders.” The campus is situated on 7.5 acres and features state-of-the art facilities, including a new STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) complex. They round out their rigorous academic program with athletics, visual and performing arts, outdoor education and a full range of co-curricular programs.
Summer Academy
Bishop Strachan School offers a summer academy for students entering grades 8 through who are looking to get ahead or catch up in school or ar interested in exploring new programs. This co-educational program features four-week credit courses and one-week skills programs.
