About Bata Shoe Museum
More than 1,000 shoes and shoe-related artifacts are on display at “Toronto’s biggest shoebox”, first opened in 1995.
Four galleries cover the style, development, and function of footwear throughout 4,500 years of history. Find Chinese bound-foot shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals alongside clogs from the 1970s and Vivienne Westwood platform pumps. Check out flashy celebrity footwear worn by Queen Victoria, Elton John, and Elvis Presley as well as shoes from famous designers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Bata Shoe Museum hosts frequent family-friendly events with crafts, scavenger hunts, and other kids’ activities.
Admission is just $5 for kids (ages 5–17) and free for ages 4 and under.
