  I had a psycho-educational assessment done for my child with Shawna. And I regret it.

  From Shawna’s initial emails, many of the promises were not being met. Also, there was no disclosure that she and her colleagues work full-time elsewhere. But she then used this as an excuse not to provide promised services. If we have known this, we would have chosen another service that has excellent client service and are much more flexible. BTW, Shawna never showed up, not even in zoom meeting. She used her name and reputation to get clients but all the work is done by her colleagues and she doesn’t disclose their credentials.

  The communication has been poor. There has been many times I wanted to withdraw if it wasn’t a referral. I only wanted to proceed if she was going to do the assessment and report herself, because her colleagues’ credentials were not communicated with us at all. Her initial email hinted that she would do the assessment herself and she sent us lots of her credentials and references. I felt cheated the whole process. And there was no sense of customer service, only power struggles.

  Overall, I wish I didn’t do the assessment with her (colleagues). There are so many excellent services out there that are transparent and responsive.
