Riverview Park and Zoo

Canada’s only free-admission CAZA/AZAC accredited zoo covers 55 acres of riverfront park and exhibits. Riverview Park and Zoo features 27 exhibits with over 45 species, including two-toed sloths, yaks, camels, wallaby, emu, crocodiles, macaw, lemur, squirrel monkey, plated lizard and meerkat.

Other features include a children’s playground, with accessible equipment and swings, and a water splash pad. There is a large picnic area along the river, a disc golf course and the Rotary Education Centre, as well as an ornamental fountain, sundial and gardens. You’l l also see an F-86 Sabre jet and a totem pole and can take a ride on a vintage miniature train.

In the winter, you can toboggan and cross-country ski.

Educational school programs are available, as well as a Zoo Crew Parent and Tot Program.
