About Camp Ramah
A special needs overnight camp in Muskoka for Jewish children ages 12–21, Camp Ramah has been in operation for more than 20 years. Camp Ramah aims to provide the same summer camp experience for children with special needs as children without disabilities and to create a community of inclusion for all campers.
Central to the camp’s offerings is the Tikvah Program, which incorporates multi-sensory learning (daily prayers, swimming, arts and crafts, cooking, Israeli dancing, sports, Jewish learning), socialization, Jewish living and Hebrew language, and (for ages 18–21) a vocational program for campers to prepare them with job skills and independent living skills.
A team of social workers provides support and care of campers, and the camp has a well-equipped infirmary, two registered nurses, and a doctor on site.
Sessions range from three to six weeks, with shortened sessions for younger campers also available.
