The Abstractions: Puppet Show with Craft

The Abstractions combines education and entertainment with one-hour workshops for children ages 4 to 12 in the Ottawa area. Developed by puppeteer and science educator Grant Harding, the workshops are ideal for schools, day camps, and birthday parties.

Through a combination of instruction and humorous skits, The Abstractions will demonstrate the different styles of puppetry (hand puppets, shadow puppets and marionettes), and explain how they work. Anything can be a puppet!

Workshops work in any venue, requiring only a bit of space and a table. Workshop participants will  also have an opportunity to get creative and make their own character as part of a fun and simple puppet craft activity.
