Monkey Rock Music is a participatory music program for young children and their adult caregivers in Ottawa and Toronto. They offer classes for caregivers and children from newborn to age four; daycare and elementary school performances and regular programming; and even a full-fledged rock concerts for kids and families.

Classes are structured according to each age group. Babies under 12 months engage in musical games and activities with their caregivers. Toddlers 1 to 2 years old enjoy more movement and learn to interact with other children through music. Kids from 2 to 4 years old clap and dance along to action-oriented songs, singing and contributing their ideas to the class.

You can also request birthday party entertainment. Your preferred instructor will bring along a guitar, a big bag of musical instruments, and the rainbow parachute to play with. Monkey Rock Music also have a collection of instruments from around the world, and the instructor will bring one to the party for everyone to take a look at and try. There will be a few standing-up, moving-around songs, and then they’ll finish with a bunch of kids’ percussion instruments.
