About Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park
A unique zoological park, known for its environmental education programs, first opened in 1983, Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park offers an up-close experience with wild animals, many of which are threatened with extinction. While best-known for its large felines, such as lions, tigers, snow leopards and jaguars, Jungle Cat World is home to 60 species of animals. These include other mammals, such as wolves, kangaroo, and spider monkeys, as well as birds, reptiles and invertebrates.
While the park is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the best time to visit is during the afternoon feeding. Take an educational tour, guided by an experienced zookeeper, starting at 1:30 p.m.
The zoo also offers Night Safari overnight camps for groups and community outreach presentations.
Safari Zoo Summer Camp
Campers live at the zoo and work with the zoo keeping staff to help care for some of the animals. Through this hands-on experience, they learn about endangered wildlife. They also have experiences to share this knowledge through the zoo’s community outreach presentations and the zoo feeding tours. Other outdoor activities include hiking, rock climbing, canoeing and caving.
Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child’s birthday with a wild adventure at Jungle Cat World. Parties include free all-day admission to the zoo – including a public feeding tour and food to feed the rabbits and other free-ranging animals in the park – and four hours of access to the education centre and dining hall, where you can run your own games and activities, eat and open gifts. There will also be a 45-minute wildlife presentation with some of the animals, like the lemur, and take a picture with one of them. Partygoers can meet some of the smaller animals at the zoo and can hold a snake or tarantula.
