About Prosserman JCC
This non-profit Jewish community and recreation centre in North York is a hub for fitness programs, team sports, education, camps, and child care, with top-of-the-line service and facilities. Membership is open to everyone.
The Prosserman JCC is part of the ongoing Sherman Campus project to establish a 27-acre “city” within a city with an arts centre, theatre, conference centre, and the new Jewish Museum of Canada.
After-School Programs
After-school and weekend programs for kids include hip-hop and ballet classes (ages 2½–6), yoga for kids (ages 6–12), and family ceramics classes for a child (ages 4–12) and parent/caregiver together.
Sports programs and leagues, offered in partnership with JCC Chai Sports include basketball, hockey, T-ball, baseball, indoor soccer, outdoor soccer, and flag football.
Daycare and Preschool
The Prosserman JCC offers daycare and preschool programs for ages 18 months to 5 years at the David and Esther Freiman Childhood Education Centre. The interactive curriculum is founded on Jewish values and tradition, incorporating Hebrew language, and teaching the concepts of tzedakah and tikkun olam. Families at the childcare centre receive free membership at the JCC.
