Unity Festival is a free three-day showcase that showcases visual art, spoken word, breakdancing, and beatboxing by local youth and international artists recruited from UNITY Charity’s school and community programs and open auditions.
Thursday is the MC/Spoken Word & Grafitti Exibition; Friday is the Beatbox & Breakdance Showcase; Saturday is the Unity Concert.
UNITY Charity was founded in 2007 by Michael Prosserman aka “Bboy Piecez”, one of Toronto’s most preeminent B-boys. It has provided after-school and community programs for over 100,000 youth across Canada, teaching positive self-expression through beatboxing, breakdancing, spoken word, poetry, graffiti, and more.
