It’s spontaneous, it’s outrageous; it’s fun, funny, and fabulous – there is literally something for everyone at the Toronto International BuskerFest for Epilepsy. The festival features spectacular circus artistry, non-verbal shows that can be understood by all, and one-of-a-kind entertainment that will have you questioning your very eyes. Music, magic, and mime; feats of the impossible, and the ridiculous, performed by comedians, fire jugglers, acrobats, aerial artists, clowns, daredevils, beat boxers, and much more. Four days of non-stop, action-packed fun!
In addition to the many street performers, BuskerFest hosts a Family Fun Zone with face-painting, balloon twisting, giant games, the TEW tent, The Be A Busker Zone, Bébé Station, and more! Located in the north/west corner of Woodbine Park (close to Coxwell and Eastern). There is also a midway with rides, inflatables, and games.
As a fundraiser for Epilepsy Toronto, admission to the festival is by donation. Volunteers will be stationed at the main entrances to the event, and a donation of $5 per person, or $10 per family is suggested. With this money, you are not only supporting the festival, but also the 40,000 people living with Epilepsy in the GTA, and their families. The performers each collect their own remunerations by passing a hat after their performance, which goes directly to that performer or act. How much, if any, you give to them is up to you.
