International Migratory Bird Day

8 am–1 pm (Rouge Park)
9 am–4 pm (Toronto Zoo)

Parks Canada and the Toronto Zoo are proud to host International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) in the Rouge! This international event celebrates migratory birds making the long trip back from their wintering grounds in Central and South America to their nesting grounds here in North America.  The theme of this year’s event is “Spread your Wings for Bird Conservation”.

This marks the 17th year the Toronto Zoo is celebrating IMBD. Come out and see informative displays set up by various bird-related organizations at the Conservation Connection Centre. Spotting scopes and interpretive guides will be stationed at Weston Pond in the Canadian Domain to help visitors learn to identify local birds. In partnership with Parks Canada, we will also be hosting bird watching tours in Rouge Park with guest bird experts. Register today!
