Meagan’s Walk: Creating a Circle of Hope

Event Details

15TH ANNUAL MEAGAN’S WALK: CREATING A CIRCLE OF HOPE

All Ages

Welcome to Meagan’s Walk, an amazing event and a meaningful way to honour Mother’s Day weekend!

Meagan’s Walk welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Starting at Fort York National Historic Site, together everyone follows a 5-km walk route that leads to SickKids, where everyone gathers, hand joining hand, and form a huge “hug” around the hospital, a clear signal to all within that they are not alone!

The day includes live music and entertainment, face-painting, an opportunity to sign the Wall of Honour, and hear moving and powerful messages from Meagan’s Walk’s Founder, youth ambassadors, and world-leading doctors and researchers.

Meagan’s Walk was founded by Denise Bebenek in 2001, the year she lost her cherished five-year-old daughter Meagan to a cancerous brain tumour.

Funds raised are directed to SickKids, which houses The Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumour Research Centre (BTRC).
