10th Annual Island Lake Bass Derby

The 10th Annual Bass Derby at Island Lake is a two-day catch and release tournament, hosted by the Friends of Island Lake as a fundraiser for projects at Island Lake Conservation Area. This year there will be 10 tagged bass, each worth $100, to be caught during the derby, as well as $6000+ in prizes on the line for the top 10 bass and the top pike, perch, and crappie. Children’s trophies (age 11 and under) will be awarded each day in six species categories: Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Pumpkinseed/Bluegill, and Rock Bass. Kids age 12 and up can enter the regular derby.

After the derby ends on Saturday, everyone is welcome to join the after party from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Enjoy the beer garden (cash only, age 19+) and a local food truck, featuring a fish dinner. Free live music with local popular artists on the stage.

  • $80.00 for a 2 day Adult pass
  • $50.00 for a 1 day Adult pass
