Drop-in 1-hour lesson for kids of varying levels, from brand-new to skateboarding to intermediate, ages 6–14. Beginners start with learning how to stand and push on a board, proper foot placement, and turning. From there, kids will learn how to shift weight while riding up and down ramps and turning on transitions. As students progress, they work on more advanced maneuvers, such as ollies, dropping-in, riding off ledges, and more. During free-skate time, instructors will supervise and further assist participants.
Every Saturday 10–noon at Danforth Church (60 Bowden St., Toronto) and Sunday evening, 5 pm–7 pm, at St. Alban’s Boys and Girls Club (843 Palmerston Ave.), near Dupont and Bathurst.
$25 per session or $20 if you register for the month.
