The Maker Bean Cafe is a full-service café and arts-and-technology maker space for kids and adults alike. Enjoy great drinks and tasty food in a warm, welcoming environment while letting your imagination soar by designing and making things together.
There are two Toronto locations: a storefront at Bloor Street West and Dufferin and a café/maker space in the Great Hall inside the Ontario Science Centre. Both serve coffee and snacks and offer hands-on making. Events and camps take place at the Bloor West location.
*Note that hours here are for the Bloorcourt (Bloor St. and Dufferin) location. For Ontario Science Centre hours, check the website.
The Maker Space Cafe is open daily for drop-in making using a 3D printer, laser printer, and woodworking tools. Drinks and food are available at the full-service café. Drop by for the maker space, the café, or both.
Camps & Classes
Creative technology camps for ages 6–17 are offered during summer, winter break, March break, and on PA days. The Maker Bean Café also has an after-school Imagineering Club on weekdays. At these camps and classes, kids get a chance to use tools like laser cutters and 3D printers to bring their ideas to life.
Book a creative and fun party with an educational twist! Kids work together to build robots, complete Minecraft challenges, build a marshmallow catapult, and more. Parties include exclusive use of the maker space, activity facilitators, and all parts and materials. Catering is available, too.
Field Trips & In-School Programs
The Maker Bean Cafe’s hands-on workshops are available for schools and groups. Workshops can take place at the maker space or at your location.
