Pop-Up Adventure Playground

Downsview Park is the place to be for a fun-filled, family afternoon this winter. In February and March they are partnering with Earth Day Canada’s EarthPLAY initiative for four pop-up adventure playgrounds and campfires.

Adventure playgrounds encourage kids to build, create, make-believe, get messy, invent, collaborate, and take calculated risks. They offer kids variety of “loose parts” including cardboard boxes, logs, tires, rope, and bicycle parts, to enrich self-directed play. Play Rangers are on hand to observe and support children’s play. They do not direct the play but are available to help when necessary.
