Helping Hands Tutors

Established in 2010, Helping Hands Tutors provides private in-home and online tutoring services for children with a variety of special needs, learning styles and abilities. Tutoring is available for all grades and all subject areas. Working with students across Ontario, its tutors are experienced Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) with Special Education qualifications who connect with children. Lessons are based on Ontario curriculum expectations and best practices in education.

Helping Hands Tutors has professional relationships with paediatric therapy service providers, including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. This working relationship provides tutors with the unique opportunity to work with students receiving different types of therapy, as well as access to consultation and recommendations when needed. This deeper understanding of learning difficulties and effective learning strategies results in a smooth transition from therapy to academics.
