Winter Bird Prowl: Evening Walk in the Don Valley

Event Details

Join avid animal tracker Lee Earl and Evergreen staff on a wintry night walk through the Don Valley.

Participants will bundle up and head out on a prowl to explore the nocturnal community in the dark. Along the way you’ll watch for evidence of animal survival in the winter, and will listen for the calls of the Barred and the Northern Saw-whet Owls, while looking for roosting birds and other tracks.

After the walk, head indoors to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and light snacks.

This walk is free and open to the public. Participants should dress warmly and wear appropriate shoes for walking outdoors in the winter. Meeting spot is at the Young Welcome Centre. If you are taking the free Shuttle Bus to Broadview Station, please note that the last shuttle leaves at 8pm.
