Pysanka Workshop

Learn how to make pysanky in the traditional Ukrainian style at this guided workshop. A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write,” as the designs are not painted on, but written with hot beeswax. Create your own pysanka to take home with you!

Please register in advance. Cost: $25 per person. Space permitting, walk-ins may be available the day of the event.

Ages 6 to adult, no experience necessary. Two workshops will be offered: 12:00-2:00 pm and 2:00-4:00 pm.

This is a fundraising event. All proceeds from this event benefit future touring opportunities for dancers of The Ukrainian Academy of Dance & Arkan Dance Company.
