Evergreen Brick Works’ Wild Blueberry Celebration

It’s wild blueberry season in Canada and if you have never tried this delicious, fresh, bursting-with-flavor, mini version of the berry we all know and love, then it’s time to come out to Evergreen Brick Works’ Wild Blueberry Celebration.

Wild blueberries are indigenous to Canada, growing freely in many provinces and showing up in only the most delicious pies, tarts and jams. Evergreen Brick Works, with its focus on sustainable, local food practices, is showcasing wild blueberries in their renowned farmer’s market this weekend. Purveyors will be able to taste, eat and shop from more than 20 wild blueberry food producers, preservers and bakers. Celebrity Chef Christine Tizzard will be on hand to discuss the history and nutritional value of this tiny super food, as well as give an engaging culinary demo showcasing the incredible flavours abounding in this delicious little berry.
