The Second City Online 1-Day Camp (Ages 7–18)

The Second City has created totally digital, totally fun virtual comedy camps to engage kids for 4 hours of fun and creativity.

Campers exercise their sense of play through improv games that are the foundation of The Second City’s unique brand of comedy. Teachers work with young improvisers to help enhance their ability to communicate with others and develop confidence in their own creativity while working as part of an ensemble. No previous experience is needed. Camps end with a virtual show where the students show off what they’ve learned!

Subjects:

• Improv: the fundamentals of improv’s “yes, and” philosophy
• Musical Improv: spontaneously put words to music
• Sketch Comedy: use improv to develop scenes, and create original sketches.

Camps are taught by SC Training Center comedy pros. Sign up your child by themselves, or encourage your child’s friends to join your session for a virtual get-together!

Sign up for one of four 1-day camps on April 3, 6, 8, or 10.

Campers are broken up by ages 7–9, 10–12, and 13–18. Choose from 1-day or 5-day camp.

Cost is US$75/day. Book online.

11:30 am–12:30 pm: Sketch Comedy
1:30–2:30 pm: Musical Improv
