About Autism Center For Kids
The House of Development offers in-home and after-school child therapy, coaching, and parent counselling for children with autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities in North York, Vaughan, and Toronto, as well as summer camps and winter break camps.
“The House” helps children on the autism spectrum by employing ABA therapy, the Miller Method, Greenspan FloorTime Approach, and sensory room therapy.
By identifying individual strengths and challenges, therapists can customize a curriculum for your child to ensure they get the focused learning they need to thrive.
The many resources offered by The House of Development include:
- child counselling
- parent counselling
- parent workshops
- autism/ADHD therapy
- child life coaching
- working with children on behaviour planning, fine and gross motor skills, language and communication, play skills, pre-academic skills and social skills
Kids’ Camps
The House of Kids Development offers day camps with morning and afternoon sessions. Learning is combined with fun activities to engage students and build their confidence and independence. Keeping students involved in their academics during school breaks can ease the transition between semesters and school years.
Activities include cooking, social skills groups, arts and crafts, STEM, and animal therapy.
Each child’s needs are assessed and two distinct programs are offered based on age and developmental objectives. By tailoring programs and having a proper ratio of teachers to students, each student gets the support and guidance they need to thrive.
