Sunday Funday: Archaeology

Event Details

The Oshawa Museum is marking the 150th Anniversary of Archaeologist, Gertrude Bell’s, birth with this fascinating event at the Verna Conant Gallery, Guy House. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with artefacts from Oshawa’s ancestral Wendat archaeological sites. Found in 1967 and 1992 digs, these artefacts have provided a link to Oshawa’s pre-history. You will learn about tools of the archaeological trade and dating techniques, and will get a chance to piece together clay pots. Visitors can also view artefacts on display from these digs at Henry House.
