Celtic Fest

The annual weekend of Celtic family fun arrives at Alton Mills Arts Centre with music, highland dancing, a vendor market, local craft beers and ciders, whisky tastings, open studios and artwork, and ticketed concerts. Both free and ticketed events are available.

Highlights include a traditional Irish drum workshop; a free Celtic harp workshop (email pearl@altonmill.ca to reserve a spot), a scarf-printing workshop for ages 8 and up on Saturday ($35, pre-register here) and concerts from NUA (Saturday, 7:30 pm), a trio that brings a fresh sound to traditional Irish and Scottish music, and Rhythmfoot featuring the Leahy Family (Sunday, 2pm), an all-ages concert with stepdancing, drums, and fiddling from a family of seven performers ages 5 and up.

Admission is free but some workshops and concerts are ticketed.
