Markham’s Canada Day celebrations will continue in 2020 as a virtual experience that unites our diverse community.
The health and safety of Markham residents and visitors is our top priority. Given the current pandemic, Markham’s annual in-person Canada Day activities have been cancelled as we all do our part to stay home and stop the spread of COVID-19.
In order to celebrate our Canadian pride while practicing physical distancing, the city will host Markham’s first-ever virtual Canada Day celebrations!
