World Rhino Awareness Weekend: Rhino Encounter

Event Details

Celebrate and help save rhinos! All over the world, zoos and conservation organizations will unite during the month of September to celebrate these amazing pachyderms. Rhinos are in desperate need of our help as poaching of this magnificent animal is on the rise. Wild rhinos face the threat of extinction within the next 15 years without extreme conservation efforts. We still have time to save them—find out how you can help!

Register by September 21 at 4 pm for a special close encounter with one of the zoo’s three Indian rhinos ($50/person); space is limited. You can also visit the Indian Rhino Exhibit (9:30 am–3 pm) or White Rhino Exhibit (10 am–3 pm) and attend a rhino keeper talk at noon or 2 pm. Rhino encounter fee does not include zoo admission or parking.
