Grandparents’ Day in High Park

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY IN HIGH PARK

11:30 am–4:30 pm

Bring the whole family for Grandparents’ Day events in beautiful High Park. All events except for the Grandparents’ Day Tea are free.

Events:

• Explore Colborne Lodge and enjoy historic treats and hands-on activities for the whole family. Grandparents are free! Noon–4:30 pm.

• Fire engine will be at Jamie Bell Playground. 3–4 pm

• Special labyrinth walk at High Park Labyrinth for grandparents with grandchildren. Facilitated walk starts at 2:30 pm, with harpist Frances Roberts-Reilly.

• At High Park Nature Centre at the Zoo, learn about the different creatures that make High Park their home and explore our animal “Touch Table” with High Park Nature Centre staff. Pet the rabbits, llamas and baby reindeer. 11:30 am–2 pm.

• Volunteer to be a High Park steward and restore and protect natural areas. Meet in front of Grenadier Restaurant at 10:30 am.

• Grandparents’ Day Tea (3–5 pm) at the beautiful Sunnyside Pavilion Cafe at the beach! Wear a hat, win a prize! This is a ticketed, registered event. To register, click here.
