ACORN members are hosting a forum to show decision makers that Toronto cannot wait for affordable and accessible child care. Attend to join the discussion about child-care issues including the facts that Toronto residents pay the highest daycare fees in Canada; child-care fees are rising three times higher than inflation; and many registered ECEs earn less than a living wage.
Speakers include Marva Burnett, president of ACORN Canada; Marit Stiles, federal NDP president and TDSB school trustee; Lyndsay MacDonald, coordinator for the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario; and Janet Davis, councillor for Ward 31.
Free child care will be provided to parents attending.
