Art Exchange: Artist Trading Card

Event Details

This event, in support of The Markham Food Bank, brings creative people (ages 16+) together to share ideas, trade cards, build a unique collection of miniature art, and view the current exhibition while supporting a worthwhile cause with a recommended $5 donation.

Similar in size to hockey or baseball cards, trading cards are original little works of art, created in any medium, including drawing, painting, and mixed media. Registration and setup is 2–2:30 pm and trading begins at 2:45. A gallery visit and mix-and-mingle takes place from 3:30 to 4 pm.

Check out “Xiaojing Yan | Out from among the tranquil woods” and “Present | Perfect | Continuous” in the galleries, show off your new collection, and chat with friends. Refreshments provided.

Cards must be 2.5″ x 3.5″ (the size of a hockey or baseball card) and original work only. No digital copies of larger work. Sign and date your card on the back. The more cards you make, the more you can trade (12 is a good start).
