The Little Mermaid by Derek Genova. In this new spin on the Hans Christian Andersen tale Mermaid Princess Coral feels like no one understands her, so she gives her up voice and her mermaid tail for legs to walk on land with. Handsome Prince Hans, haunted by a mermaid song he once heard, is surprised to meet this familiar-looking girl washed up on the shore. Coral becomes fast friends with his deaf sister Helen, who helps her find a way a whole new way to express herself.
