Toronto’s longest running Canada Day celebration (over 60 years!) happens each year in East York. Celebrations begin with a parade beginning at Dieppe Park, gathering at 9:00 am and departing at 10:00 am. The parade will be filled with floats, bands, and community groups, and will wind its way through East York to Stan Wadlow Park. At the park, you will find midway rides, a local craft beer garden, artisan market, live entertainment, kid’s activities, and great food. Skate park with demonstrations by IMPACT Skate Club from 4-6 pm (safety equipment and boards provided!) and the swimming pool are also open. Paul James Band will perform and Joe Motiki, formerly of TVO Kids, will be there to entertain you in the afternoon. Top off the day with a spectacular fireworks display at 10:00 pm.
