Wavestage Theatre Company

York Region’s award-winning stage production company, established in 1994, presents high-quality theatrical performances in Newmarket as well as youth training programs and workshops in acting, singing, and dancing.

Wavestage mounts two to three professional, family-friendly musicals each year, which are performed at theatres in Toronto and elsewhere in the GTA. Student matinees are available on school days.

The Wavestage Youth Performance Academy offers private voice lessons (ages 7+), musical theatre workshops (ages 8+) and the audition-based Music Theatre Intensive program, where children rehearse for and perform in a full-length musical production at the Newmarket Theatre. Workshops and classes take place in Midtown Toronto.
