Sweet Water Season

Event Details

This event finished on 02 April 2018

Visit a reconstructed Iroquoian Village and learn how maple syrup was discovered and used by Ontario’s First Peoples as you take in an interactive (and edible!) Sweet Water demonstration in a celebration of the Indigenous heritage of maple sugaring.

Nostalgia is served warm and gooey in the afternoon as staff demonstrate how to make taffy on snow. Maple themed crafts and discovery hunts for kids. While you’re here, you can tour the reconstructed longhouses.

Entry is free with admission to the conservation area ($7.75 adults, $6.75 seniors, $5.50 children, free for ages 4 and under).

Also see Maple Town at the nearby Mountsberg Conservation Area.
