Toronto Fringe KidsFest

Run by Toronto Fringe, KidsFest is a theatre festival for the youngest thespians and thespians-to-be. Programming begins early in the day, and tickets are just $5 per child. Babes-in-arms enter for free. Adult tickets $13. Front of House staff are fun and friendly kid-experts, and they know how to get an audience of youngsters in and out of a theatre calmly.

KidsFest features 8 kid-friendly shows over the course of 12 days. Visit the website for show descriptions, performance dates and times, and age suitability. Most shows are for ages 5-12, but some are suitable for kids as young as 2. Tickets can also be purchased online.

Next door to the theatre, you will find KidsFest Club, on the grassy lawn of the George Ignatieff Theatre. The club is a safe and welcoming playspace for kids of all ages and their families. Entrance by donation. Activities include face painting, workshops, and special visits by character guests and facilitators from the ROM, Maker Kids, and the Toronto Public Library.
